Vietnamses Education

Nowadays, the world is becoming more modern, so the globalization is now more popular in developing countries in south east Asia such as Philippines, Thailand and my country, Vietnam. And this problem affect to many things in Vietnam but I am going to talk about education in Vietnam.

First of all, Vietnam education system have 4 levels : Primary ( grade 1-6), Middle (grade 6-9 ), Secondary ( grade 10-12 ), Tertiary ( University ). More specific, about primary school, children as young as 18 months of age are admitted to public kindergartens so the parents will not have to worry about their children all the time. After that students have to spend about 4 years to learn academic subjects and manners, some schools advanced courese in Natural and Social sciences. According to universities in developed countries, vietnamese students always have a higher score in math and reading than another students do. So how vietnamese students do that? There are 3 key factors that lead them to their impressive results: committed leadership, concentration, and investment in teachers.

Not just rote learning, vietnamese students are expected to leave the education not just able to recite what they learned. They also have to administrate it into their life. Consequently, according to the BBC News, Vietnam was coming 17th in maths, 8th in science. 19th in reading, higher than US which was ranked 36th at maths, 28th at science and 23rd in reading. Until now, Vietnam is ranked at 15th based on maths and science. Maybe there are many advantages in Vietnam education, but we still have many problems in Vietnam education. Vietnamese students do not have a good survival skills, weak career orentation, wrong social assumption. Specially is weakness in education management.

In conclusion, Vietnamese students are really good at studying and if they can solve their problems, they will have a successful career
