     Food has a large impact on American culture. America is known to be an obese country. Not all Americans are overweight, but food does have an impact on the people who are. 
     A lot of Americans eat out on a normal basis. This eating out is one reason why people become obese. The fast food restaurants, such as McDonald's and Burger King, are providing cheap, tasty food that is filling. These foods are very high in sodium, fat, sugar and calories. All these factor in to obesity. It is also very common in the American culture to snack. After a long day at work or school, a bag of chips seems like the perfect thing to eat. Some popular snacks are Cheetos, Lay's potato chips, Doritos and many more. This snacking and snacking and snacking may also cause obesity.
     Now, all Americans eat fast food and snack on chips all day. There are many people who watch what they consume so that they are healthy. There are many diets such as vegetarian and vegan. Vegetarians don't eat meat and vegans don't eat meat or any product that comes from an animal, such as eggs and cheese. These people may want to have a healthier diet but most just don't believe that animals should be used as food. There are some people who stay healthy by drinking protein shakes. They drink 1 or 2 a day instead of a meal. Drinking these can help you lose weight or just give you the right amount of protein to get you through the day. Some Americans also stay eat healthy by eating non-GMO products. GMOs are genetically modified organisms, which means that the food is changed genetically so that it will grow bigger, taste better or repel bugs. These kinds of food are very unhealthy for you. Lastly, what most people do to stay healthy is to stay clear of junk food and eat fruits, vegetables and meat.
