1. What is the most popular music genre in your neighborhood?

• The popular kind of music among people our age tends to be pop music and rap/R&B.

2. Which period that R&B became popular in your country?

• R&B and rap became really popular during the 1990’s and 2000’s.

• EDM is popular here, though in our neighborhood, many don’t listen to it.

5. Do you prefer listening to music with MV or just listening to audio version?

• We prefer to listen to audio versions like on phones and computers though we still watch music videos occasionally.

6. Which ways do you usually choose to listen to music? CD or computer or you prefer live music?

• We prefer to listen to live music and music that is on our phones. Many Americans love to see live music in concert when they get the chance. However, when it comes to just listening to music on our own we use apps on our phone such as Spotify, Pandora, and music that we downloaded.  

7. Could you list some popular Vietnamese artists if you know any?

• We don’t know of any Vietnamese artists.

8. Do you like Kpop? In Vietnam, most of the girls, they really like handsome Korean singers. Do you?

• As a country we are just being introduced to Kpop music, and it is very different from what is popular in the US. The music videos and filmography/ideas are very abstract and impressive. The choreography is also really amazing, as opposed to our top artists, who mainly focus on singing. All of the Kpop artists are attractive and talented.
